89. Where Were You

89. Where Were You

A Chapter by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

We all are.

"

Where were you?

Why weren’t you here?

You really let us all down

We try to be sympathetic

We try to understand

But we’re getting frustrated

I’m tired of picking up your slack

Of doing your work for you

I shouldn’t have to

I’m done with the constant worry

And checking of my phone

Wondering if you’ll bother to show up

We let the first time slide

We gave you another chance

But you won’t even communicate

Where were you?

Why weren’t you here?

I’m tired of pulling your weight

Author's Note

Haley Lynn Thomas
Whenever you work in a group there always seems to be that one person who doesn't care. They don't come to class, they don't return your emails or phone calls, and you're stuck doing their work for them. I'm in this situation right now. My entire group is fed up with this person.
