I was too scared that you wouldn't reply.

There's a part of me that aches

That thinks of you every day

That longs to reach out to you

But with each passing day

We grow farther away

 

I convince myself tomorrow will be the day

That i send you a message

But the months keep on slipping by

And you haven't reached out to me

And I wonder what that means

 

You're probably busy with your own life

I'm pretty caught up in my own

But your faces flashes in my mind

And I recite in my head the words I've memorized

But something always stops me from sending it

 

Because I know that if I do

I'll be staring at my phone for the next hours

Waiting breathlessly to see if you reply

And no matter how much I might want to reach out

For some reason I still haven't
