Communicate

Communicate

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I teared up writing this.

"

Come on, let’s communicate

Don’t tell me it’s too late

Don’t I matter to you at all?

If I did, then you’d surely call

It doesn’t have to end this way

You can stay

We can talk it out

Find out what love’s all about

What if I promised to change?

To try to be less strange?

I’m sorry for coming on so strong

Sometimes I can be a little headstrong

Come on, don’t do this

I didn’t know anything was amiss

I’m sorry for not being enough for you

Don’t bid me aideu

Come on, let’s communicate

Let bury all this hate

It doesn’t have to be this way

And that’s all I have to say
