Let it Out, Let You Go

Let it Out, Let You Go

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I don't care anymore.

"

I don’t want to think about

You asking her to the dance

And I don’t want to think about

You putting your arms around her waist

I don’t want to think about

You swaying back and forth with her

I don’t want to think about

How you didn’t follow through with me

How I was crying in the bathroom

And she’ll never know how that felt

How I was devastated

But she had you

I don’t want to think about

Her giving you your first kiss

The kiss that I should have had

The one that should have been mine to claim

I don’t want to think about it

But then I saw the picture

Before she was only a thought that I could push away

But then she was a reality that I couldn’t run away from

And I don't want to think about it anymore

Because I promised myself I wouldn't

I have to do what's right for me

And that's writing this to let it out and let you go
