The Beginning

It's been such a long time

Since I last made a friend

Since the last time I went out

And it was so much fun

I don’t know why I was so nervous

I guess I just wanted you to like me

I was hoping this was only the beginning of

A friendship that will last a long time

And when you texted me afterward

I felt happier than I have in years

I forgot what it was like

To not have drama in my life

I hope that we can do this again
