Let Me Down

A five minute poem. Written for that unreliable person in your life.

You really let me down

You really disappointed me

I felt like such a fool

For believing in you

 

I should have never given you

A second chance, but I did

And all you did was let me down

Again and again

 

I should have known better

Than to put my faith in you

Because when it comes down to it

I can’t count on you

 

You really let me down

I hope you know you made me cry

Because I felt so stupid

For putting my trust in you
