Snow Flurries

Snow Flurries

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I haven't written a poem in a while...I generally am not awesome at rhyming ones, but I figured I'd give it a go.

"

The snow is falling in a flurry

I’m not in any hurry

Let’s stay here a while longer

Allow this feeling to grow stronger

Let’s talk about anything but the weather

Your touch is as light as a feather

We’re practically strangers to each other

Getting to know one another

Let’s play a game of truth or dare

I’ll even let you play with my hair

As long as you promise it’s not only momentary

I know how emotions can vary

You say you want to get to know me

But I’m questioning how much I’ll let you see

What if you run away the way he did?

But you're a man, not a little kid

So while the snow is falling in a flurry

I'll stay here with you and try not to worry

Even if this feeling disappears tomorrow

That's just more time I'll have to borrow
