Lost Cause

Lost Cause

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

I won’t shoulder all the blame

You know it’s such a shame

How things fall apart

It’s like you don’t even have a heart

All you see are my flaws

I’m starting to think you’re a lost cause

I want to give up right now

But I don’t know how

I’m searching for a way about

I don’t know what you’re about

It’s a pity how things turn around

All you do is drag me down

I’m over all of the drama

I need a period not another comma

This novel must come to an end

I’d rather break than bend
