i used to wish i could go back and change some of the decisions I've made, but i realize now that they made me who i am, and i think i turned out pretty well.

Looking back on what we had

I’m not even sure what to call it

I know it shouldn’t have ended the way it did

But we can’t go back to the past

 

It took me years too long to move on

But now that I have it’s so freeing

The incessant ache in my heart has finally gone

I’m happy who I am on my own

 

Looking back on that time

I’m done living my life with regrets

It was such a beautiful, innocent period

But at some point I had to grow up

 

We can’t go back to the past

But if we could I wouldn’t change a thing

I am who I am and I won’t alter that

You are who you are and I wish you all the best
