Even Though

The truth is that I miss you

Even though I'm not allowed to

The fact is that I want you

Even though I'm not supposed to

I try to avert my eyes

Every time you walk by

I'm afraid that if I see you

I'll forget why I left you

It's a struggle to stay strong

Because even though I know we were wrong

You still pervade my thoughts

And that longing for you haunts me

Because I really miss you

Even though I'm not allowed to

And I really want you

Even though I still resent you
