Man in the Mirror

Man in the Mirror

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

Who's that man in the mirror?
The one who keeps coming around here

Who's that stranger in the household

It's you, so I'm told

Something's changed, you're not the same

Always passing on the blame

You're broken up inside

Struggling to turn the tide

Unsteady steps, you stumbled

You watched as your life crumbled

It's hard on everyone

You've decided you're done

You're surrounded but alone

Yourself but a clone

You're so far but so near

Who's that man in the mirror?
