Enemy

Enemy

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

Are you really trying to hurt me?
Becuase if so pat yourself on the back

You're doing a fine job

Of making me feel like I don't matter

Just keep opening your mouth

Tell me everythng that's on your mind

Look where it's gotten you so far

You're making me hate you more

Congratulations, I don't know you

Keep you the good work

Before you know it

You'll have another enemy

You're the definition of unhappy endings

Go ahead and twist the blade

See how deep it can penetrate

Don't stop, you're on a roll

Just keep walking furthur away

I promise I won't follow

I'll watch your footsteps melt with the snow

I'll wait until the water washes them away

Congratulations, I can't stand you
Pat yourself on the back

See how deep you penetrate

Now you've made an enemy out of me
