I'd Go Back If I Could

Everyone thinks I should be joyous

They all wonder, why am I not happy?

Isn’t' this what I've wanted for so long?

I wish it could be that simple

But this isn't where the story begins

This is only where it ends

And the truth is, the middle was great

And the thing is, it wasn't always like this

They don't know the half of it

But if we were a story book

I would read us again and again

But I'd always skip the end
