Accessory

Accessory

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

You wore me like an accessory

You used me like I was a tool

To you I was nothing more than arm candy

That you could show off to your friends

You pushed me like a door

I'm not a trophy wife

I won't won't be your personal cheerleader

I'm not a mat to wipe your feet on

I'm sick of being treated this way

This is a game I refuse to play

I'm not your chew toy

But you certainly are a dog
