Lost and Not Found

She cries out into the darkness of the night,

hoping someone will finally answer her.

They wonder how she could possibly want anything more.

She has so much love in her life,

But the girl knows that this "love" is not real.

And so she cries once more,

as her pillow becomes drenched with lost hope.

How could she feel so alone in a room full of people?

This emptiness she feels grows deeper by the hour.

Many failed attempts at filling this hole stare her in the eyes,

and she is left in subtle desperation.

But nobody notices, and it's beginning to seem like they never will.

No one will ever know how much she craves to just feel something for once.

She wants to know what real love is like.

But since everyone assumes she already knows, nobody tries to show her.

And so this girl, she is lost, and she is left wondering if she will ever find her way...
