My space

taking up space

I take up space,

not much, but enough

to hold the sum of my molecules,

the volume of my mass,

and this space is wholly mine

fitted to the image of my body,

a 'me' shaped tunnel through

which only I might pass.

It expands and contracts

with the whim of my waistline.

My space.

But what happens when I am gone

will this space belong to another?

the contours moulded

to different dimensions,

Or will there be a void?

a 'me' shaped void

that people will step around

unable to pass through

because they

just don't fit!

Wow...now, I am in a mind tangle...I keep thinking I have easy answers and then, they don't work. Suffice to say you would certainly leave a void, dear poet, that no one could fill just right.
