I see it in your eyes,

that need to escape

the confines of this existence.

If I were a benevolent love

I might unchain you,

let you run,

allow at least the pretence

of liberty,

but I am no more benevolent

than you are free

and neither of us

will be going anywhere,

save for the grave,

one day.... together
