Ex- Best Friend

I did not write this about the same person i wrote "Thank You" about!

I remember way back when,

you and I were the best of friends.

Laugh and talk all night long,

we never thought it would go wrong.

 

But we both grew up and drifted apart.

It didn't take long to figure out that you've never had a heart.

You turned cold and hung out with the 'popular' crowd.

Don't you realize, it doesn't make you cool to be obnoxious and loud?

 

It's sad to think how we used to be.

You used to be the only person who could understand me.

You used to tell me everything.

Now it's impossible to get a conversation going.

 

Maybe it was for the best.

A story; we'll never know the rest.

We had a good run,

but now it's safe to say this friendships come undone.
