BruisesA Poem by Mir
Yellow and blue bruises
Cover her arms Even though she continually begs, Not to be caused harm. Things had been going so well, Before her mother snapped. Now she's like a ticking bomb, One that can't be cracked. What's a girl to do, When she's helpless and alone. Lying teary eyed and scared In a place she once called home. As the abuse goes on, She starts to blame herself. Believing that there's something wrong, With her; no one else.
