Polar Opposites

Snowy wonderland
Where Jack Frost dwells
Such a contrast from
Fiery pits of hell
If Heaven is in arms
Reach and our fingertips
Are magnets, let’s
Stretch from here to forever.
If hell is one step away
Let’s stand here
In between.
The moon melts snow too
It’s warmth second to one
It smiles knowing that it
Touches so many who will
Never return the favor.

Summery dreams
Where timber mills
Roll with the punches
And the escape
Is a fate that
Even the Sun…
It gets lonely too,
Saddened that it
Will never be able to
Be that close.
