My Angel

This poem was written when a very close family member of mine passed away.

My Angel

You left this earth,

Way to soon.

You left this earth,

Before I could say goodbye,

Before I could say,

How much you meant to me.

How much I love you.

Heaven has gained an angel.

Earth has lost an angel.

Heaven deserved this angel.

Why did it have to be you?

Why couldn't I have help onto you?

Why did it have to be you?

Why couldn't you have stayed longer?

Day after day,

I wake up,

I look at your pictures,

And I ask,

I hope,

"Are you proud of me?"

"What should I be doing differently?"

I tell you how much I love you,

And remind myself,

"Don't worry,

Your angel is protecting you,

Your angel is guiding you,

helping you in every way possible,

Your angel loves you."
