IMMEASURABLE (Quatrain)

Countless questions I want to ask
Limitless words I want to hear
Numerous things I need to know
There's one anguish I have to bear.

Those little pricks inside my heart
Countless wounds might not be healed
Deeply longing for your embrace
Now my heart is painfully sealed.

Why is this love that I  have now
It's like the rain that I can touch
But never gives me chance to hold
Drops slip from hands dying to catch?

Pointless dreaming but I still care
Stupid love I now enfold
Please take my heart and let me dream
Unavenged love is what I hold...

Indeed, it often feels like love slips through a life as rain slips through fingers. Very well said. Still, dreaming and hoping are important. No one knows what lies around the corner. Romance enters a life when it is least expected. Good rhyming in this one, Dh. Lydi**

There are things that we can't understand...and we can't explain. But still there's a mind which guides the heart. And an unselfish heart always look for the welfare of the other. Sometimes, it's good to look not at the romance but at the unselfish love we could give to the person we love. "Dreaming and hoping are important". I believe that everything happens for a reason...and everything has it's perfect time. Dreaming requires sacrifice...

Another beautiful and sad look at love and pain. You share it so vividly, it makes you feel the frustration, confusion and pain. Only one thing: 'Why is this love that I once have' --- this is a mix of past tense and present tense (I think). Shouldn't it be 'Why is this love that I once HAD'' ?

Countless, limitless and numerous times we embrace love in our reckless abandon where chances escape our grasps and blood drips in agony. Wounds leave scars and breakups fade as stars...A splendid poem...:)...............
