Vive le Revolution

For the Egyptians I have been following since the 25th and for Khaled Said. The strength was in one mans life to change a world.

We streamed into the streets

Hopeful, robust -- ready

 

"REGIME CHANGE!!"

 

We banded together

Vive le revolution

Muslims, Christians, Mothers, Daughters

Fathers, Sons

Atheists

 

Mubarak a runner

Cabinet a sham

Parliment a shadow

The strength is in one man

 

It took many to save few

It took few to fuel many

It took decades to fuel

It took money to rule

 

 

     --- I live in freedom

I cry for their revolution

I beg my country to pay attention

  It has created chasms between me and comrads

I care they do not

 Apathy and ignorance/.. I do not value your principles

 

    I have begged to be alive for this

This... this is amazing. And beautiful. and Awesome. and My life. and, did I mention, AMAZING!!! it's about time someone commented on how awesome it is to see people fighting, in mass, for true freedom from tyranny and oppression in this day and age. I appreciate this soooooo much, and I absolutely love it. Keep writing!

Yes, i too beg for their revolution. I really like this poem-
It is one for history.. i only wonder if the next leader will be better..
No food for their families and i know Mubarak lives like a king while his people starve. This is exciting and also frighteing in many ways.
I hope the people win and he resigns now. Saying he will not run again is good but they need change now. A powerful poem .. i so like poems that make us aware. I also like the format you put this in.
