After cocktails you told me it was “f*****g pointless”
I dropped you off and told you to get some sleep
Driving away I remembered why I loved you so much
If one and one make two, then we are zero
Relationship wise, it seems like a bust
But drinking drama with every meal can be filling
Leaving you hungry and anxious in the middle of the night

A sardonic or quirky but witty scenario? Seems this couple enjoy the un~calm of a relationship. Enjoy nothing more than excessive tension til on the edge of free fall sans harness. Is not dissimilar of an interval during a movie thriller: lights rise, people exhale, laugh, hold hands perhaps. They need to slow and cool down, feel safe. Until the lights go down, and the whirlwind atmosphere re.starts. Drama is why the audience is present.. as is the couple in the relationship.. going with whatever because.. ..

Wow, you got a spanking!!! Seems like this person has little regard for you (Whomever) and you feel the relationship is zero...meaning it's empty...so drinking only eases the soul temporarily "leaving you hungry and anxious in the middle of the night"....Nice write

Oh yes!! I know about that sudden adrenaline spike and then the equally terrifying plunge in the middle of the night! One gets addicted to the drama overtime and feels so empty without. Something akin to diabetics craving sugar. I related very much!
