A Bruised Summer

A Bruised Summer

A Poem by EleanorMae
"

A bad marriage from the child's POV

"
Summer skies are clear and blue,
I promise Mama misses you too;
Summer skies are dull and gray,
Daddy left today;
Summer skies turned bright again,
Mama made a new "friend";
Summer days are ending,
Mamas happy, Daddy's pretending;

That's very interesting. I like the fluctuating rhyme scheme particularly, as well as the theme. However, I don't think you exactly capture the story you're attempting to convey.

But maybe I'm nuts. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm not sure, but I am sure that this is a good work and that you're dern good at writing.
