Lost DreamersA Poem by HannahWe were once lost dreamers, Who discovered how to fly through the clouds And swim among the goldfish in the sky. Follow me You whispered to me As you grabbed my hand And pulled me through the stars, To the hidden world of ours. A place where we could sing with the sirens, Near the wrecked ships and souls of sailors, And leave our troubles behind. We used to know how to cast a magic spell That would turn our worries to dust But I forgot that long ago We were once lost dreamers, Who learned to walk along the backs of the waves And dance among the fairies and crickets in the dead of
night. We could leap from one fantasy to the next Where the sky gleamed with wishes While we slept underneath the branches of the willow. We shared a never-ending pouch of fairy dust and joy While we galloped through the field with the elves at our
sides. We were once lost dreamers, You and I. Do you remember? Think back to the times when we wrestled with dwarves and
dragons And explored the dark caves of our imagination. Think back to that time, My dear old friend, And dream sweet dreams in heaven. © 2012 HannahAuthor's Note
