Warrior Poet Zen 2-1 (thoughts on reviewing a writing)

Zen thoughts on writing a review as a Warrior Poet

1. If the writer tells you to ignore typos, I do.

2. If the writing is not good, I will not review it. However, if I think, it could be fixed, I privately email the writer with my suggestions. Let them decide to either ignore me or use any or all of my suggestions.

3. If the writing is bad, and I can see the person has poured their soul and heart into it, I will review it and give it a good rating based upon the content not the form. I will also privately email them if I decide they want or would be open to help.

4. If the writer has only a few minor typos, I will point them out. I want others to do that for me.

5. If English is not the writer's native language, I do #3.

6. Always remember this site is made up of people from all levels of creative writing, so be sure to do as many suggestions as you can kindly do. If you have a lot to say do it privately.

7. Remember also we are trying to help each other, not crush a writer's heart, spirit and soul.

8. My view on grammar is if no punctuation is used within a line, it is a phrase and not a sentence and should not be seen as one. If a line is a sentence in this same structure punctuation may be used to give the reader a pause between lines.
