Spilling Thoughts

Spilling Thoughts

A Poem by Harrisen Viator

I wish I could write
these words when I think 'em
'Cause it's difficult when they come to you
and they cannot sink in
They leave just as fast as the came
it's like I start a fire and it starts to rain.
'Cause I can't get them out of me
and it just drives me insane
Just cause my brain
carries this blame
and guilt that it's built
over my whole life and I
try to find the light and I
just continue to fight
for this right to be happy
for me and no one else,
but it doesn't help
when I can't see you everyday
'Cause I know I can stay,
true
to you,
 in every way
And here I go I'm about to end
all these thoughts I'm spilling
with my pen..

How hard it is to keep a thought when so much is going on in one's head. You portray the spiral of chaotic thought well in this piece, Harrisen. I really like this line: "it's like I start a fire and it starts to rain."
