You ChooseA Poem by lilgurli6214As I walk through the hallways I hear people whisper about me I couldn't even tell you Who half these people are I don't understand What I did wrong I'm just misunderstood People always look for flaws They never see the good If people got to know me They would see The real me Is not all that bad. To all the people like me Never stop wishing on a wishing star Never try to be anythign but who you are Don't act like someone else Just to fit in with the crowd People will come along eventually And like you for you I've gone most of my life With only one true friend at a time. I just love how The one true friend Is always there in the end When all the others Stab you in the back. To all of you who made fun of me all those years Thank you For talking about me just enough To make me the center of your life for awhile And for all the people like me Never stop wishing on a wishing star Never try to be anything but who you are Don't act like someone else Just to fit in with the crowd People will come along eventually And like you for you So here's where you make your decision About who you want to be Which would you rather have A best friend Who will always see you through Or a bunch of people Who don't like you for you. You choose. © 2008 lilgurli6214 |
