Tiny Little Rumors

Tiny little rumors
Lined up along the street
All the people waiting
For some new ones to meet
Little sneaky serpent
Slithers between their feet
Whisper, whisper, whisper
Weaving all the lies
Scandals were and everywhere
Bring everyone’s demise
Emerald eyes of envy
All turn away from light
With the sun’s rays at their backs
They drink in greedy sights
Hoping for all that others have
A futures much more bright
Majestic gates of Heaven
Close out earthly lies
Sneaky little serpent
However hard he tries
Fails to push his whispered rumors
To fall on ears inside
Tiny little rumors
Riding on serpent’s back
Tumble from shining clouds
Into a world of black
Where forever they will stay
And morph to devil’s howls
