Human firstA Poem by child of God
Tears"we can't deny them.
They are a part of us, woven in. It doesn’t matter how strong you think you are, You are human; Therefore, you have emotions. The way you raised us wasn’t right. I cry, and you judge. You say the McElroys are "strong," That I should "stop my whining." But have you ever walked a mile in my feet? Could you survive a day in my shoes? Trust me: you would be crying too. If I cannot cry to let the weight out, Then I don't want to be a McElroy. I am human first. Crying is how I cope; it is how I survive. I have heard enough of your insults. If I am a "whinebag" in your eyes, Then so be it, Steven McElroy. I no longer care what you say. I love you, Father, But I love my Heavenly Father more. He does not judge; He loves me for me. So you have a choice: Love me as I am, or don’t love me at all. You cannot pick and choose the parts of me to keep. You either love, or you hate. I am at peace. God is my Lord, my friend" And your replacement © 2026 child of GodReviews
