Mistake

I guess it was a mistake

To put faith in you.

I guess it was my mistake

To let down my walls

And get closer to you.

 

If I could erase my mistakes

And avoid getting hurt even more-

Then I would.

If I could be alone

And avoid pain to be-

Then I would.

To put trust in you.

I guess it was my mistake

To open up to you

And start to care.

 

I have made a dozen mistakes

But none too bad.

The worst mistake I’ve ever made was

Falling for you.
