That Girl

That Girl

A Poem by Lexii Emotion Suicide

That Girl

You laugh at that girl

Who spends her time alone

The one who has no friends

The one always hiding behind her hair

You don’t know how

What you say affects her

You’ve never seen the scars

From days of endless pain

You don’t know why she refuses

To get close to the people around her;

She lost her sister in a car crash,

Her parents fight non-stop

She raises her younger brother,

Her dad is always drunk,

Her mom beats her…if you only knew-

Would you leave her alone?

What if you lived her life?

If your heart broke as much as that girl’s?

If you lost the people you love?

Would you stop and be her friend?

Yes I would be her friend, we human all live s****y lives, but we push on. We hate, we love, we judge, but we push on. It's better than letting "them" win
