Ever since I was young, I’d go on the swing

Ever since I was young, I’d eat ice cream

Ever since I was a teenager, I’d daydream of straight A’s

Ever since I was a teenager, I’d find love in books

Ever since I became a man, I found less and less sun

Ever since I became a man, I found less and less sweet

Ever since I became old, I realized what life was about

Ever since I became old, I realized that life is sadness
