Life

Life

A Poem by BlueShadow

Like water sparkling in the sunbeams

Like diamonds glistening in the moonlight

Like sapphires shining through the sky

And happiness comes to life

We are tired of war, sadness, and sorrow

And wish for peace and bliss instead

But instead we get this, more hate

And can only look onward to tomorrow

With glee and an awe for beauty I go to sleep

Hoping that tomorrow will be better

But instead it reminds me that

Time changes little

Our emotions control us, we intelligent human beings

But sometimes we have to control them

Otherwise it could be terrible

But we come together and remind ourselves

That every day is a new day
