Yellowstone

Yellowstone

A Poem by BlueShadow

Yellowstone National Park

We get off the plane, Frontier Air

And head on outside the airport

We drive to the gates of the wilderness

A place I’ve never been before

Yellowstone is rich in wonder and discovery

Acres upon acres of trees and trees

Bison, geysers, and pools of water

Dot its existence everywhere

Yellowstone is famous for its natural awe

It shows how wonderful and unlimited

Nature is in comparison to humanity

Yellowstone is admirable for its peace

When we go inside the park we see

Many different kinds of birds

We also see the bison

As big as an SUV

Yellowstone is wonderful and grand

In its ability to be accessible and memorable

When we leave the park I feel content

In that the money we spent was correct

When I go back home I feel somewhat sad

Since there is nothing interesting at first glance

But then I turn the television on and remember

There’s always CNN
