Earth is Beautiful

Our universe is vast. It has trillions and trillions of galaxies, each one of them containing hundreds of millions of planets, asteroids, and other stellar objects. The universe is very large and most of it is empty black space, with some large planets in it. It is a wonder, however, that the universe contains only one habitable planet, Earth. The universe is very large and should contain at least one other habitable planet besides Earth. However, according to the Fermi Paradox, it is unbelievable how our universe, being so large and vast, only has one habitable planet, our own. Earth is very beautiful since it is the only planet in our vast and infinite universe that can support life. Earth is special since it is our home and unique in many different ways. I love living on Earth because it is very beautiful in a visual way. 

For example, the sky is so beautiful because it is the perfect shade of blue to me, a light blue that signifies peace, tranquility, and awe. Earth is a beautiful planet since it is also extremely moderate in terms of the temperature it experiences during the day and night. The other planets in our solar system are extreme in the variation they experience during the day and night in terms of how hot and cold it gets. I am so, so grateful to be living on Earth and not some other planet in which I can be burnt to death just by existing. Earth is wonderful in its ability to be inspiring, splendid, and unique. I am always amazed at how lucky and fortunate I am to be living on Earth. If I were born on some other planet such as Venus or Mercury, I’m pretty sure my life would be very arduous. I am so happy and fortunate that I am able to see the beautiful sky, breathe air and not nitrogen, and also love myself and others. Earth is extremely unique since it is the only planet that can support life in the entire universe. I am so grateful for being able to live at all. To me, Earth is representative of the fragility of life. If the Earth had been one mile closer, the Earth may have been burnt up by the sun. The Earth is very amazing in its ability to be supportive of all kinds of life, such as trees, humans, animals, and even life-forms we don’t appreciate, such as bacteria. Earth is wonderful because it is where we as people live and can appreciate the beauty of nature and the wonder of the interconnectedness of life. 

I hope that in the previous two paragraphs I showed you why you should be grateful for being able to live on such a unique planet. Earth is amazing since it is perfectly shaped, sized, and distanced from the Sun. I am so happy and so elated to be able to live on a planet that seemingly was designed just for human life. Every day when I go outside, I remember that the air we breathe was converted into air by the trees that cover the forests of our lands. I am so happy and so thankful for being able to step on ground that is solid, and not like quicksand, since the Earth we live on is not a gaseous planet. I am very much in gratitude for the perfectly balanced proportion of chemicals that compose the atmosphere and the seawater we depend on for much of our food. The main message I was trying to convey in this essay is that Earth is like Heaven to me. It’s beautiful, serene, awe-inspiring, and stable. I hope you appreciate Earth and your own life more.
