The Violin

The Violin

A Poem by BlueShadow

The Violin

Deep amber and with rays of black and brown

The violin is a sight to see

It’s like a king with his platinum crown

Filled to the rim with pure glee

The king plays and out comes waves of beauty

Melodies other instruments can’t make

Unparalleled in its refinement

Other instruments try to imitate

Drawing the bow across the string

He emits unblemished feelings

He gives sounds their own wings

And a person’s soul finds its healing

The violin sounds like a human voice

With its melodious nature and tone

A good violinist has a plethora of choice

Between bowings, articulation, and notes

The violin is remarkable for its practicality

It’s unrivaled for its difficulty

I learn the violin and enjoy its purity

Of tone, rhythm, and musicality
