Rain and Fog

Rain and Fog

A Poem by BlueShadow

Rain and Fog

Sitting in my room next to the bookshelf

I stare outside the windowpane

Coal clouds race forth with stealth

I realize muggy weather can ease pain

I finish reading the book in my hand

More time to focus on outside

The rain comes down pelting the land

And the birds, trees, and squirrels hide

After the rain finishes I feel happy

Finally, the sun shines the sky

The smell of watered grass

Makes life seem much less dry
