Dravonia

It was the year 1568 and Dravonia, a country on the continent of Mildocia, was rather poor with most of its people tilling the land and eating a potato, soup, and water a day. Dravonia was well-known for being very poor throughout planet Zycion, and was subject to much humiliation and contempt from those of other countries. Dravonia was a land of farmers, artisans, and alchemists. The king of Dravonia at the time, King Marvon, was known for being cruel and subjected the people who lived in his land to much humiliation. King Marvon was rich and lived in a palace of marble, gold, and silver, with countless servants, maids, and waiters. King Marvon was a tyrannical ruler but kept his promise of keeping the people of Dravonia protected, granted that they pay tax to him every few years. His army consisted of two-thousand soldiers and cannons and horses. 

In Dravonia, there was a section of the country named Tallworth, which was full of alchemists, who worked feverishly in discovering new ways and methods to form gold, silver, and bronze. The alchemists there worked day and night trying to figure out new ways to create precious metals without too much or too expensive materials. The alchemists were experienced and many of them had been working there for many years. If they could find a simple and easy way to make gold, they’d be very happy. The alchemists were at the top of the social ladder in Dravonia, and were highly respected by others for their difficult, meticulous, and painful work. Dravonia was in need of more gold. 

Myrthin Abrock, an alchemist who lived in Tallworth, loved being able to work as an alchemist. He lived on the street floor of a housing complex and spent most of his days experimenting with different chemicals, potions, spells, and enchantments. He wanted very badly to figure out how to make more gold in the easiest way possible. Myrthin tried mixing flour, golden thistle, and red flower together to make gold. He just wasn’t sure what proportion of each one he should use. He spent his days experimenting constantly only to fail. Will he ever succeed? We shall find out.

Myrthin was stubborn and loved experimenting even though some might call it tedious or boring. Myrthin loved working as an alchemist because gold was very valuable to everyone in Tallworth. Myrthin was known for being very intelligent, too. He had a knack for knowing what to do with chemicals. 

One day, Myrthin woke up with a feeling of great delight. He felt like he might do something incredible today, he just wasn’t sure what. Myrthin mixed together some chemicals and was stunned to see a nugget of gold at the end. He got the nugget and put it in his coat and headed towards the castle. He knew the king would be proud and excited,

Myrthin went to the palace door and opened it after some questioning from the King’s guards. He went to the king, bowed, and showed him the nugget of gold. The king was stunned at how Myrthin managed to create gold from seemingly nothing and told him, “Great work. Now Dravonia might become richer.” The king had a pleased look on his face and told Myrthin that he would be granted a new apartment in Dravonia. Myrthin was happy and left the castle excited. Myrthin knew he had done something very amazing for Dravonia and went back to his apartment. Dravonia was now the richest country on Zycion.
