The Might of the Waves

The Might of the Waves

A Story by BlueShadow

“The Might of the Waves” was a gorgeous, six story, white cruise ship that took an estimated ten years to build. The deck of the cruise ship was filled with chairs, tables, a swimming pool, a buffet, and the cabin. On the deck of the cruise ship, one could see wave after wave after wave and see the blue ocean churn as energy raced through its waves. The view from the deck was a beautiful view, with lots of motion imbued within its waves and the ocean crashing upon the ship's hull. The ship had five hundred rooms with two beds, a lamp, and a desk in each room. The room could only be opened by an electric card, which when inserted into a room’s lock, opened the room door. The cruise ship’s rooms were spacious and well-designed, and had numerous appliances and a beautiful view of the ocean. There were five floors of rooms which meant the cruise ship had living space for two-thousand people. The ship was like a beautiful, big city lit up at night by its inhabitants. The ship looked like a humongous light during the nighttime, and had hundreds of passengers partying. The ship was extraordinarily big, bustling, and beautiful. The ship’s basement held electric generators that powered the behemoth. The ship was a very large, energy hungry, and exciting place to be, so “The Might of the Waves” was a big, beautiful, and stunning display of quality and dedicated engineering for everyone.

Meanwhile, Adrian Mellon and Wendy Mellon were looking for a fun vacation getaway so that they could get away from their son and daughter. It would be an amazing, memorable, and fun trip that would relieve them of stress, fatigue, and dizziness. Adrian Mellon was a financial planner at Wilmington Financial Co., and it was his job to plan the wealthy’s financial decisions twenty years into the future. Adrian Mellon loved being able to create diverse financial portfolios for his clients’ tastes. He found his job to be difficult, stressful, and challenging, but overall was content since he made so much money. Adrian Mellon loved his luxurious but difficult job. He was an extraordinarily bright, intelligent, and sophisticated forty-year-old man. He was also very disciplined. His wife was a housewife and took care of the house and made sure that their son, Andrew, and daughter, Madeline, wouldn’t be too rambunctious in the house. Wendy Mellon was so excited to be able to get on a cruise to have a relaxing, carefree, quality, and beautiful time alone with her husband. She was so sick and tired of being stuck at home doing nothing but washing dishes, doing laundry, and waking the kids for school at eight in the morning. A good shake-up in routine couldn’t hurt, and her life was about to get much more memorable, unique, and enthralling. She was so excited for her new life. Her week long vacation would be fun, soothing, gorgeous, and exhilarating.

Adrian was looking for the quintessentially perfect vacation cruise ship and stumbled upon an ad online that said, “The Might of the Waves”. He clicked on it and read about the ship’s week long cruise from Wilmington, Iowa and amazingly affordable prices. Adrian was exceptionally happy at the prospect of being able to spend quality time with his wife and forget about his job, the kids, and the house for a while. He thought that everyone needed a break every once in a while and was amazed by wife’s ability to appear uninterested in what he was doing. He paid the cruise ship’s two thousand dollar boarding fee with his credit card and was excited to board the ship. It said that his ship would be departing Wilmington, Iowa and head off deep into the Eastman Lake, where the ship would travel in the lake and have lots and lots of fun. The cruise ship was amazing for its ability to be like a miniature island or city, with lots of lights, people, and activity, so it was nice being able to ride a ship that could take Adrian and Wendy deep into the Eastman Lake where they would have tons of fun partying, drinking, eating, and swimming on “The Might of the Waves” cruise ship. This cruise ship would be stunningly amazing and well-designed. Adrian and Wendy were excited to ride a cruise ship that would take care of their holiday, earthly, spiritual, stress, and numerous relaxation needs.

July 28th came like a gush of water coming down at you like a blast, and Adrian and Wendy awoke from their comfy, large beds in their four story home in Wilmington. They knew it was the day that they would board the ship. It was going to be exciting, fun, memorable, and deeply satisfying. Adrian and Wendy got into Adrian’s SUV and drove past homes, trees, more trees, buildings, and onto a bridge that crossed Sillon River and drove to the shore’s parking lot. Adrian and Wendy were so excited to be able to board the huge ship that they were paralyzed with emotion. Few things in life are better than a week long getaway from the stress of your normal life and a week long of fun, excitement, and happiness. They boarded the ship and found themselves among hundreds of other people from all across Iowa wanting to have a break from their dreary work lives and party like there’s no tomorrow. Adrian and Wendy were elated to be able to have fun on the cruise ship, meaning that they would eat gourmet foods, swim in swimming pools, and party like there’s no tomorrow. The ship’s main idea was like a giant party of drinking, laughing, and happiness for as many adults as possible in a week. Adrian and Wendy were excited to board the ship and went to their room, room 231. They went inside the room and were amazed to see clean beds and beautiful paintings.

On the first day of their cruise adventure, Adrian and Wendy went to the large, clean, and sparkling swimming pool to be able to swim in the swimming pool while talking to strangers, playing with swimming toys, and tanning on pool chairs. The pool was located on the deck of the ship, so they went up three floors using the pool’s elevators so that they could swim in the pool with glee, love, and fortune. They went to the pool and saw about fifty people swimming in the large pool, and were excited to be a part of the swimming life there. The pool was expansive, decorous, and important. It was one of the ship’s main attractions. Adrian went into the pool and swam with a giant swimming noodle and talked with strangers. Overall, the pool swimmers were kind, courteous, and friendly. Wendy got into the pool and felt super happy being able to swim without worry. Wendy swam in the pool feeling happy, carefree, and jovial. She swam for three hours before she stopped and loved the pool’s array of swimming toys like the giant rubber ducks, swimming balls, and swimming inflatables. She swam very well and thought she may have lost a few pounds. Her swimming improved as did her confidence, but most importantly of all, however, she felt happier than ever before. The pool closed and night fell but Adrian and Wendy were still at the entrance to the pool before they went to their spacious rooms.

The sun shined their whole room and soon Adrian and Wendy had to wake up to another day of cruise fun. Adrian and Wendy were excited for the day today because they felt like it was going to be interesting, fun, a blast. They were so excited to be able to go to the “Megabuffet” today, which was the cruise’s huge and enormous buffet filled with people, food, and an ambient atmosphere of sophistication. Adrian and Wendy were extremely happy because they wanted to eat really, really bad. Adrian and Wendy had breakfast consisting of a croissant, omelette, and orange juice, and went to the Megabuffet for lunch. The buffet room was also located on the deck and had so much delicious, tasty food, ranging from seafood, to fast food favorites, and dessert. Adrian and Wendy stuffed themselves and sat at a table next to a couple in their mid thirties. Adrian and Wendy were so excited to be able to eat like king and queen. Never before was there this much food at no cost at all. Adrian and Wendy had a great time and loved eating high-quality buffet food that was diverse in taste, freshly prepared, and so amazing. Adrian and Wendy had a blast eating delicious food as well as embracing the welcoming atmosphere of the buffet. The buffet’s best food in their opinion was the banana cake, which tasted like banana except more creamy. They engorged themselves and also found the buffet to be exceptionally grand.

Once the cruise ended, Adrian and Wendy went back to their house with their son and daughter. They felt so wonderful and replenished for being able to ride a cruise that had lots and lots of attractions. Adrian and Wendy were extremely fortunate to be able to have gone on such a luxurious and expensive cruise ship that had everything necessary for fun, love, and amazement. Adrian and Wendy were home at last in Iowa where they finally recovered from vacation mode to work mode. They felt so grateful for their amazing vacation and hoped there would be more.
