Blion CastleA Story by BlueShadowMyrin Alvrin was a fifteen year old mage in training and was running down the castle halls to get to his necromancy class. He knew that if he’d be late professor Janit Shosavsky would be angry. He ran and ran until he found the classroom doors, tucked in next to a corner. He entered class and he thanked the angels that class was not over, in fact it was only just starting. Myrin Alvrin was extremely happy about being able to make it to class on time in an orderly fashion. He was worried about how class would end up starting without him but luckily his worst fears were allayed. The professor began to teach on Yew logs, a great way to build amazingly pretty and beautiful houses that sparkled and glittered in the night. Yew was extremely important for many magicians because it was a good, hardy log that could withstand difficult temperatures, snow, sleet, ice, and gnomes and trolls. Learning about Yew logs made Myrin Alvrin much more at ease and he started to see himself and others a little bit differently now. The Yew logs made him feel like he was really understanding necromancy in its fullest form and was extremely insightful as to what to do with Yew trees. Myrin Alvrin loved to learn about Yew logs and learn about their medicinal and healing properties. Not only were they great for construction, you could use them to make Yew lamps, Yew boardwalks, and Yew wands. Yew was such a good wood to have. It was useful, pliable, and amazing. Professor Shosavsky was right in teaching a lot about Yew and making it seem fun. Ghosts were extremely important to understand because sometimes quests would involve talking to a ghost for information or divination. Ghosts were champion divination creatures, because of their supernatural nature and unbelievable wisdom. There was a saying in Zartia to trust ghosts when you really need to. They weren’t known for being too honest.
