Raindrops

Raindrops

A Poem by BlueShadow

The rain falls down gently, covering the leaves with drops

I sit still in my oak cabin, reading a book about love

I love my little refuge, hidden deep in the forest

I acknowledge my love of literature and poetry

Is something I carry with me every day

I love to write, read, and learn new things

The rain calms me down and I feel a sense of liberation

From the confines of societal expectations

From the jailhouse of rules and regulations

I feel so good being alive and I love the people too

The cabin sits alone in the forest, undisturbed

I love the beauty of it all, and feel wonderful for living every day
