Still

Still

A Poem by BlueShadow

The ball of water, ice, and rock

Spins spins spins

Until it is sick and tired of it

And decides to quit

Suddenly it stops midway

Around the sun and forever still

We wonder why the sky fell down

Nothing to be happy about

The ball of water is happy now

No more work or gloom

Just happiness and tranquility

Fills its gigantic mood

People on the sphere wonder

What will we do next

Perhaps it’s just a question

For the old sages to answer

Becoming more understanding and thoughtful

We find ourselves more self sufficient

Becoming independent

We grow from the chains of despair

The sphere is still

No more work it has to do

Sustaining a people without thanks

It makes us feel more at rest

The planet is extremely happy

Being at bliss
