How Precious You Are

I used to think my life was worthless

Good-for-nothing, empty, meaningless

But I found writing and poetry

And I discovered a world of love and possibilities

Stunned by the magnificence of other’s prose

Amazed by the phrases, words, and imagery that they chose

I realized something amazing

My life is just beginning

I learned my life has meaning and purpose and value

And yours is as beautiful as a quartz's ineffable hue

Keep on living, I say, don’t quit

So many love you, like a rockstar hit

Your life has a point, a reason, a significance

That only you, can give it with limitless magnificence

Love yourself and love your life

And perhaps you will discover the complete and final end to your strife

Love others and you will see

A clear path to your beautiful, wonderful destiny
