The Chemist

The Chemist

A Poem by BlueShadow

The Laboratory

In a white suit the chemist begins an experiment

He has since from high school always had a science bent

The flasks and bunsen burner is turned on

And the neon metal burns and then it’s gone

The smell in the lab is pungent and metallic

Everything is rather dynamic and not static

The chemist loves his gloves, lab coat, and goggles

Experimenting is always difficult, an uphill struggle

The chemist finishes his work and goes back home

To see yet another day of experimentation and foam
