The Seasons

The Seasons

A Poem by BlueShadow

The Seasons

Winter comes with snow on trees

All the bugs die, including the bees

The air makes your breath visible

The house now is virtually unlivable

Spring arrives with rain and sunshine

I know the day will be mine

The weather is wonderfully suitable

For anything that’s possible

Summer stops us in our tracks

The blazing sunbeams hits our backs

We go the nearest water fountain

And finally we can climb a mountain

Fall comes with falling leaves

And colors of all sort weave

My life is full of hope and reasons

Since fall is my favorite season

The seasons represent Earth’s changes

And like life it falters and wavers

Go outside and take a breath of life

Because the elixir will cleanse you of strife

I wholeheartedly believe in this message. Our world today has been bewitched by technology in that we have forgotten the simple pleasures of just living in the world of nature. I recently found myself walking along the coastline in Monterey. I could see the sea otters laying in the sand as a small tide washed against their bodies. To breathe in the air seemed to cleanse my soul and reveal true purpose in life. That we are meant to all live in that moment. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.
