Autumn Rain

Autumn Rain

A Poem by BlueShadow

Autumn Rain

Surrounded by gold, brown, and orange

The air smells like pumpkin pie

With a trace of cinnamon and spices

Reality is so good it feels like a lie

The clouds come and the sky darkens

The wind howls and the rain comes down

Stunned by the rapidity of the change

I put on my crocs and rain-gown

The autumn feels wonderful to the skin

I love how the sights and smells blend

Going back to my countryside cottage

The autumn is close to an end
