Lightning and Fury

Lightning

The grey clouds come with fury

And I scurry back into my house

Life transitions from slumber to a hurry

From giants to a little mouse

The sky darkens and the wind picks up

The rain falls with unstoppable energy

I go into my room and gather my stuff

Hopefully I won’t become history

Outside, the lightning comes down

Flash, boom, and rumble

Life is very scary

But the sun comes and lightens the town
