Philosophy vs. Mathematics

First and foremost, I would like to define what philosophy and math are about. Philosophy is the study of words, meaning, and life in general. Math is the study of quantity and numbers and how we can use them. Philosophy and math are similar in the respect that they both are preoccupied with truth and how to obtain it. In this essay, I will point out the differences between philosophy and math and also the similarities.

Philosophy uses words and tries to understand their definitions and meanings in context. Philosophy is basically math with words instead of numbers because philosophy uses words like they are objective. Math uses numbers instead of words and uses them like they are objective, too.

Philosophy is much more specific in nature while math is much more generalized. Philosophy is very detail oriented while math is more about the big picture.

Philosophy uses language while math uses number systems. Both are like their alphabets and both use words and numbers logically.

So, in conclusion to this essay, I would like to point out that in my opinion philosophy is much more detail oriented and therefore superior to math. I hope you guys learned something from this essay.
